Lufthansa Cargo is expanding its range of individually bookable additional services for customers with the new Add-on Service “Emergency”. The service is tailored for highly critical shipments, both planned and unexpected, that require the highest transport priority and dedicated handling throughout the entire journey.

Lufthansa Cargo signed an agreement last Monday, 7 September 2026, to acquire 100% of LUG aircargo handling GmbH.
MotionMiners GmbH has been named the winner of the Lufthansa Cargo Innovation Award 2026. The technology company impressed the jury with its Motion-Mining technology, which uses wearables, sensors, and AI-powered data analysis to automatically capture and evaluate manual work processes.
